PLCP-1000 filter paper tearing tester is used to measure the internal tear resistance or tearing degree of packaging paper, writing paper, photographic paper, industrial technical paper and cardboard of appropriate thickness. The working principle of the tester is the power consumed by tearing the tested sample to a certain length. Under normal circumstances, 16 sheets of paper are overlapped with each other for tear test. Therefore, divide the total power consumed to tear these papers by the product of the number of torn samples and the tear distance, and the resulting quotient is the force required to tear a sample, expressed in (m N). The calibration mound of the instrument is customized according to the conditions of 16 tearing samples and a tearing distance of 86 mm (the test tearing length is 43 mm, and the tearing distance is doubled).
In order to make the test results as accurate as possible, it is hoped that after tearing, the data can be within 5% to 90% of the full scale. Therefore, for thicker paper and cardboard, less than 16 samples can be stacked together, 8, 4, 2, 1 sheets are generally used.
